Christopher Spitzmiller Lamp Care
Lamp Wattage: Christopher Spitzmiller, Inc. lamp sockets hold Type A Appliance Bulbs. UL certification recommends 60w bulbs. If you would like to use a higher watt bulb, please adjust the swivel socket to allow 3+ inches of clearance between the bulb and the shade.
To clean the base of your lamp: Use of liquids or solvents is not recommended, especially with gilded bases. Wipe the base of the lamp with a soft, dry cloth. The water gilding process used for finishing the bases allows for a patina to develop over time. This is a natural part of the lamp’s life and is an intended effect.
To clean the ceramic body of your lamp: Use a soft cloth to wipe the body of the lamp clean. Use care when using a damp cloth in order to avoid damage to the finish of the lamp’s base.
To clean the brass end cap and hardware: Use a soft cloth to wipe the end cap and hardware clean. Brass end caps are not coated with a lacquer and will therefore develop a patina over time. Use care if using brass polish in order to avoid damaging the finish of the lamp’s base and ceramic body. Brass lamp hardware is coated with a lacquer finish and will not require polishing.
To clean the nickel end cap and hardware: Use a soft cloth to wipe the end cap and hardware clean. Nickel end caps and lamp hardware are coated with a lacquer and will not require polishing.

To clean the paper lampshade: Use a soft cloth or feather duster to wipe the lampshade clean. Use great care if using a damp cloth, as moisture can cause discoloration and deformation of the lampshade’s paper surface and trim.

The Lacquer Company Lacquered Furniture Care
To clean the lacquer: Handmade lacquer is a delicate material and may be scratched or marred. Clean only with a very soft, damp cloth (paper towels can be too abrasive).
To treat scratches on the lacquer: If scratches appear, Turtle Wax or similar car wax may be gently applied and polished to restore the finish.
Hôtel Silver Care
To clean the pieces: We recommend washing your hotel silver with warm water and mild dish soap after use. Dry with a soft cloth. We find that the more you use and enjoy the hotel silver, the less you have to polish the pieces. We do not recommend putting your hotel silver in the dishwasher.
To polish the pieces: Polish as needed with gentle, easy-to-use silver polish such as Twinkle or Wrights. Both brands come with a sponge and are used at the sink with water. Dry with a soft cloth.
Collages by Marian McEvoy
About the collages: Each pressed flower and leaf collage created by Marian McEvoy is a unique work of art. Pressed flowers and leaves are fragile by nature, and we want you to be able to enjoy your piece for years to come. While we have taken measures to maintain the aesthetic value, and preserve the colors of the flowers and leaves, the UV plexiglass frame can only do so much. We strongly recommend treating your piece as you would any work of fine art. Please do not hang your collage in direct sunlight or in an extremely sunny room as this can cause the colors to fade.
